PROJECT: Saugahatchee Lake Complex
LOCATION: Opelika, AL

TOTAL CONSTRUCTION COST: $29 million
DESCRIPTION: New, 19,600 SF, 8 MGD water treatment plant. Design includes a raw water intake and pumping station, chemical building, filter building, operations building, maintenance building and finished water pump station/generator.
Administrative Building: Packaged VAV AC unit, water cooled with medium pressure supply ductwork, air terminal boxes, condenser water from Plant and hot water from boiler (94% efficient), hot water systems with pumps and VFD’s.
Distribution Building/Office Operations: Raw lake water enters and plates, from heat exchangers, server a closed condenser water system that serves the Distribution, Treatment, and Administrative Buildings. The Distribution and Treatment office areas have water source heat pumps and computer room unit for the Server Room.
